ABOUT FCC-NW
The Northwest Chapter of Families with Children from China (FCC) is an organization of families with Children from China.
IThe organization sponsors several events in the Puget Sound area including a Chinese New Year's celebration and an annual summer heritage camp. Our events are well attended, fun and create opportunities for our members to meet other families. Check out our photo gallery. The organization also has an email list-serv; enews, a quarterly newsletter and publishes an annual directory. The organization is run by volunteers and a board of directors. We encourage members to raise issues, make suggestions and volunteer. If there is an activity that you believe would benefit our members, please let us know and we will be happy to help advertise, schedule or sponsor it.

WE'RE GOING TO CHINA!
Just over a year ago, two teens joined the FCC-NW Board of Directors. After being asked to take on projects related to teens, Tian and Julia approached the board with a big idea: having FCC-NW sponsor a trip to China for teens – but not just your average heritage tour – a trip focused on volunteering, giving back and learning about the role of the young adult adopted from China in the greater world today.
For the past year they have been working on building out the program, and we are ready to present information to interested families. If any of this sounds interesting, and your daughter or son will be over the age of 13 by June 1, 2009 – please join us for our information and organization meeting on Sunday, October 19th, 2008. We will meet from 2–4 pm at the Bellevue Public Library (Room #1) 1111 110th St NE, Bellevue, WA 98008.
Please contact either Lara Peterson at 425-641-9355 or larap@microsoft.com or Iris Okimoto at 206-783-6546 or ayame@blarg.net for detailed information.
